Nikki Chand
Nikki qualified from Liverpool Dental School in 2017. She has since worked in general practice and the hospital setting in Cheshire and South Manchester.
Nikki completed the Manchester Sedation Course in 2021 to provide conscious sedation within the practice.
Outside of dentistry, Nikki enjoys spending time with family and friends and is kept busy with her young daughter!

Andrew Mellor BDS
After working in the NHS for over thirty-seven years, Mr Mellor retired from clinical dentistry in 2018. He qualified from Manchester University in 1981 and opened the practice in 1985. He has lived in Congleton since 1985 and is married with three daughters two of whom have careers in dentistry. A passionate Man Utd supporter and season ticket holder he is also an avid hill walker and plays the guitar in local band “The Extractions”.
Carly Mellor BChD MFDS RCPS (Glasg)
Carly has been the principal dentist at Congleton Dental Centre since 2018. She qualified with distinction from Leeds University in 2011, and returned to Congleton in 2012 to join the family business. She especially enjoys treating anxious patients and children, and has undergone further training in sedation. In her spare time (when not looking after her young son and daughter), she enjoys mountain biking, skiing and walking her golden retriever “Daisy”.

Carl Paisley BChD MFDS RCSEd MSc (Endodontology)
Qualified with honours from Leeds University in 2003 and joined us in 2013. He has worked in general practice in Harrogate and Leeds, and worked as a lecturer in Restorative Dentistry at Leeds University for five years, where he developed a particular interest in Endodontics (root canal treatment). In 2018, he completed a masters in Endodontology (root canal treatment) with distinction. Carl has been taking private referrals for root canal treatment since 2015, and works in a number of referral practices in addition to his NHS work at Congleton Dental Centre. He plays the guitar in local band The Giant Dwarfs, and enjoys mountain biking, digital photography and playing the drums.

Rebecca Mellor BDS (Hons)
Becky graduated from Cardiff University in 2015 with a first class honours degree. She has since built up her skills working in Cardiff city centre and the Welsh valleys. She returned to Congleton in 2019 to join the family business and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Becky loves to build a rapport with her patients and hopes this comes across in an enthusiastic, caring and approachable manner. In her spare time Becky enjoys running, keeping fit, travelling and cooking which goes hand in hand with eating of course!

Peace Emojevbe BDS MSc (Aesthetic Dentistry)
Qualified from Manchester University in 2008 and joined us in 2010. She completed a MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry at Kings College, London in 2015. She lives in and went to school in Manchester. Her interests involve playing tennis, running and making jewellery. She enjoys the usual hobbies such as shopping, travelling and socialising whenever she gets the chance, but most of all she enjoys her dentistry.

Kate Mape BDS
Qualified from Sheffield University in 2006 and joined us in 2007. She grew up in Congleton and was a patient at the practice while she was at school. She did her work experience with us before deciding on a career in dentistry. She is a member of Girl-guiding UK, enjoys card making and other crafts as well as pilates, walking and watersports.

Kathleen Byrne BDS
Qualified from Newcastle University in 2012 and has worked in dental practices across the North west before joining us in 2017.
Dr Byrne is an enthusiastic dentist who is able to provide a high standard of care to patients to maintain good oral health, and has completed training to provide conscious sedation within the practice. She enjoys providing Dermal Fillers and Anti-Wrinkle injections, and Invisalign® (Clear Braces).

Poonam qualified from Manchester University in 2009 and joined us in 2021. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in orthodontics, providing fixed braces at the practice.
