Congleton Dental Centre is a key healthcare provider, and as such will remain open as usual for routine and urgent appointments throughout the Covid-19 pandemic
Should I come for an appointment?
You must not attend the practice if :
- You or anyone in your household have tested positive for Covid in the last 10 days
- you or anyone in your household are suffering from any of the symptoms of Covid 19, including a new continuous cough, high temperature or loss of taste or smell
- You or anyone in your household are awaiting a Covid Test result
- You have been advised to isolate by track and trace
- Have you been to a red list country in the past 10 days
In certain emergency situations, it may be possible to provide limited treatment, even if you have answered yes to any of the screening questions. Please ring the practice for further information.
Please also note the following:
- Face coverings are mandatory to enter the practice
- Please arrive no earlier than the time of your appointment to minimise the number of patients in the building
- There will be enhanced infection control measures, including the use of alcohol hand gel when you enter the practice
- You will need to attend your appointment alone unless attending with a parent or carer is essential
Is it safe to come for an appointment during the pandemic?
Patient safety is our main priority, and we will continue to operate with a range of specific Covid-19 measures in place, including:
- All staff are fully vaccinated, having received three doses of the Covid-19 vaccine
- All staff are performing twice-weekly lateral flow tests
- Medical grade PPE is worn throughout all appointments
- Maintaining social distancing in the waiting rooms
- Surgical air purifiers which have been installed in each of the surgeries
- Perspex screens in reception to protect staff and patients
Further information is available here.
Checkups
The practice is now able to perform checkups again, and we are contacting patients to rearrange those checkups which were cancelled. The restrictions placed upon us throughout the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in a significant backlog of checkups, and it is likely that it will take several months to catch up the backlog of cancelled appointments. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
If you have had a checkup cancelled and are having problems, please contact the practice as we will be able to see you for emergency treatment if required.
What if I am not registered at the practice?
Individuals who are not registered patients of the practice can contact NHS 111 for advice.
